Erroll Treslan

Erroll Treslan Portrait

After practicing with Atlantic Canada’s largest law firm in St. John’s and Halifax, Erroll relocated to Owen Sound in 1999 with his wife Elaine. After visiting the area, they decided that the Scenic City offered the perfect blend of recreation and small-city charm for their growing family.

Erroll concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation and administrative law. He serves both individual and institutional clients in Grey and Bruce counties. Erroll handles a broad range of litigation matters in the Superior Court of Justice and also represents both municipalities and private developers before the Ontario Land Tribunal.

Erroll is an avid mountaineer who feels as challenged trekking through the Himalayas or the Andes as he does in the courtroom. Although the vast majority of his cases settle before going to trial, past clients have described him as a “lion” in court. Erroll is a co-founder of the Georgian Charity Invitational (GCI), and a past Chair of the Board of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery. His other interests include golfing, skiing, traveling, and playing soccer with the Owen Sound Adult Soccer League.
